The Plan chronicles the first 281 days of the Battlestar Galactica series through the eyes of the Cylons. Director Edward James Olmos (who also stars as Commander William Adama) has said the film will pull together so many strings that you’ll be compelled to watch the entire series again.The DVD is said to run 30 minutes longer than the version to air on Syfy, primarily consisting of additional footage from the Cylon’s perspective.
Olmos has also stated if it sells well on DVD it will guarantee “more Battlestar movies.”
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan will air on Syfy during November 2009, but will be available first on DVD and Blu-Ray October 27, 2009.
